This may be the dumbest idea ever, but I’ve started this second blog with almost identical content to my primary one. When I first began blogging, I had no idea what I was doing and so joined WordPress.org, only to find that in virtually every way WordPress.com is better for bloggers. This put me in a bit of a bind. I like my original site, but I can never be reblogged, properly tagged or have any hope of being Freshly Pressed if I stick with it.

Faced with this problem, I’ve decided to set up this WordPress.com site too. Every post that goes up on my main site will also go up on this one a week or two later. (The delay is to give me time to get rid of some of the most egregious spelling, grammar and punctuation errors, although I’m sure many will still get through.) I realize this solution to my problem comes with a lengthy list of drawbacks of its own. On the other hand, I’m heartily sick of feeling semi-detached from the WordPress community, so I’m going to give it a try and see what happens.

My main blog can be found here if you are interested. There tends to be more comment over there and the archive goes back further, but other than that, the content is the same as here.
